If you haven’t yet registered, please do so. We now have more Leads than Follows. The best way is still to register two persons (Lead/Follow) to ensure a spot.
If you would like to just attend one (or both) of the social dances, you should contact us also. $15 per person. NBDS members can attend on Friday for $6.
If you have not yet heard, we were shocked to receive notice that Nicki Silton, one half of our headliner couple, passed away suddenly last week.
The effect of the news has been sobering. To demonstrate sympathy to Doug Silton and solidarity with the wider dance community, we have decided to dedicate the net proceeds of Dance Camp 2017 to an appropriate charity to be selected in consultation with Doug. Our other fantastic instructors have agreed to cover the topics that were scheduled to be taught by the Siltons.
We have revised the workshop schedule to include the same range of topics that were originally planned with the Siltons. Did you know that Pam Podmoroff was inspired by Doug Silton to take up the shag? We all know that Pam is a great west coast swing teacher; this year she will also teach shag.
Dance Camp will carry on in a new light, in memory of Nicki and working to support our entire dance community in a positive way through a charity fundraiser.
Dancing makes us light of heart and brings so much pleasure to our lives. We hope that you will join us on June 16-18 for this worthy cause.
